Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can you tell me more about the three pricing tiers.
Yes! We price each Redesign for Whole Families event at three levels:
  • Pay it Forward/Well Resourced Organizations: This tier is for those coming from well-resourced organizations, where your seat helps cover the cost of your participation and contribute some towards the scholarship pool.
  • Non-Profit or Student: This tier is for smaller non-profit organizations or students.
  • Community Seat: This tier is for community or grassroots organizations that wouldn’t be able to participate without financial support.

This system ensures that we create opportunities for everyone to participate in these conversations, and to address the inequities caused by resources that are disproportionately available in larger institutions, oftentimes ones that are not led by those identifying Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC). We also recognize that COVID-19 has made resourcing scarce for many, and that these categories might not fit entirely. We want you to be able to participate, so consider what tier is most appropriate for you, financially. We have learned from our experience that you will choose what is most reasonable, and help support our collective learning journeys.

​The Summit Finale includes a reflection journal that will be physically sent to your mailing address. Please ensure your address is correct.

Q: What's included in my registration?
A: Your registration includes full and open access to the sessions specified in your registration. As applicable, materials (digital, and sometimes physical where applicable) are also included.  Summit attendees are responsible for joining the online events at the right time as not all events will be recorded. The Summit Finale event on January 15, 2021, includes materials that will be physically sent to your mailing address.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept through your system?
​A: The following payment methods are currently accepted.  
  • Credit/Debit Card (the University accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover)
  • EFS chartstring (for University employees only)
  • Billing is available for those organizations (e.g. State of Minnesota, other Universities, corporate) issuing purchase orders and/or who require an invoice from the University of Minnesota. Q: How can I obtain an invoice/receipt for a registration or group of registrations?
A: A confirmation is sent via email at the time of registration. Should you need additional assistance please email Kamaria Woyee for a receipt, invoice or additional registration questions.


Q: Who do I contact if I have registration issues?

Q: What if I change my mind?
A: Cancellations must be made at least 4 weeks before the event start date to receive a full refund. Cancellation notifications via social media (e.g., posting on our Facebook page or a tweet) are not acceptable. No refunds will be given for cancellations received two weeks or less from the start of the event. You may substitute another individual for the same event date and location without incurring the cancellation fee.

Q: Will my likeness (i.e. videos of me) be taken during the series of events? 
The Future Services Institute (FSI) takes videos and photographs during its meetings and events for use in advertising, newsletters, and other promotional materials, whether in print, electronic, or other media, including the FSI and Redesign for Whole Families website. By participating in this conference you grant FSI the right to use your name and video for such purposes.
